Relative Fitness Programming Sustains Active Lifestyles

How does one determine and build a relative fitness program? All too often relative fitness programming is disregarded where some jump on others band wagons in hopes of receiving the same results. It is often thought if one follows another’s exercise routine, they’ll receive the same fitness benefits. Sometimes this strategy works, but all too often it fails because it’s relative to another’s unique mind, body and spirit and environment(s) in which they live. For example, when we fail too often to losing weight because of poor fitness planning, the end result is more weight gain and risk to health. Continue reading

Learn to Embrace the Pain, Exercise and Get Fit

The mindset change required to work around your pain is most important in order to meet your fitness goals; especially if your challenge is to manage acute and chronic pain. The mind must learn to embrace and adapt to a specific ill-health pain condition(s) and/or physical-mental limitations in order to increase fitness levels. And it is important to understand your medical condition and limitations before applying exercise. Without this knowledge you may further injure yourself during activity. Continue reading

Improve Fitness After Rehabilitation

All too often, those with limited movement and pain begin to move even less when disability and supplemental services are provided. This level of comfort somehow nestles within many to sit around further disabling themselves. To develop a habit of less activity when one should be attempting to increase activity, “especially if one can walk” is detrimental and a contradiction to overall fit-healthy goals.

With regard to diet and exercise, food intake and calorie burn through physical activity inevitably becomes a compensation-Will Power challenge. Mind over body then becomes much more of a will power issue not to consume the “wrong types and quantities” of foods after an exercise, or activity event. Continue reading
